Trained professionals in the field understand how each tree species will react to different types of treatments. Most regular maintenance pruning can be done at any time of the year.

Crown Clean-out:
The removal of dead, dying, intersecting, weakly attached branches and water sprouts from a tree's canopy. Crown clean-out is the most popular of our maintenance procedures.

Crown Elevation:
Removal of the lower limbs of a tree in order to provide clearance for driveways, walkways, and buildings.

Involves the installation of high strength cables and/or threaded rod to increase structural integrity in trees.

Crown Reduction:
Pruning back leaders to lateral branches to reduce height and/or width of tree. In most cases, this procedure is only done as a last resort to prevent complete removal of the tree.

When trimming trees, the only cuts that to be made are:

  • Eliminating branches that intersect and rub against each other.

  • Removing dead or weak branches that may be hazardous or may lead to decay.

  • Removing diseased or insect infested limbs.

  • Removing limbs damaged by storm conditions.

  • Removing limbs that interfere with wires or buildings.

  • Training young trees.

  • Eliminating excessive tip weight.
